KEY CAPABILITIES
Ballistic Protection: Specified RAMOR 500 high-hardness armour steel, 6.5 mm thick, and BR-7-grade ballistic-resistant laminated glazing form the basis of the cabin’s protective envelope. Dedicated ballistic steel gun ports and run-flat tyres are also included.
Integrated Surveillance: A long-range dual-sensor camera system with thermal imaging and night vision supports observation in varying light and weather conditions. A bird’s-eye-view camera system provides additional visibility around the vehicle.
Communications and Monitoring: Onboard the BIG MAC there is provision for GPS and satellite communications, supported by three 21-inch touchscreen monitors, enables integrated monitoring and information display.
Independent Power Provision: An electrical power package incorporating an inverter, two lithium batteries and six solar panels is equipped to support onboard electrical systems
DESIGNED FOR DEMANDING ENVIRONMENTS
BIG MAC combines a heavy-duty structural framework with reinforced components and an integrated equipment layout. Its intended role is to provide a protected, adaptable platform for security, surveillance and field-support duties where mobility and reliable onboard systems are important.
ENGINEERED FOR OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
360° PROTECTION AND TURRET COMPATIBILITY
All-Round Observation and Defence Provisions
The BIG MAC Mobile Armoured Cabin features strategically positioned 360-degree gun ports to provide all-round defensive coverage from within the protected cabin.
The roof is designed to accommodate an overhead turret compatible with the M2 Browning heavy machine gun, providing a provision for an externally mounted weapon system, subject to the selected turret configuration and integration requirements.
These features complement the cabin’s specified ballistic-resistant glazing, armour steel construction and integrated surveillance systems, supporting its intended role in demanding security and field operations.
MOBILITY AND STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY
The BIG MAC incorporates a reinforced steel structural framework, chassis stiffeners and high-strength connection brackets to support the overall assembly.
Its mobility-related components include:
- Heavy-duty shock absorbers for off-road use.
- Eight specified 265/75R16 112S tyres, with run-flat provisions.
- Four outriggers to support stabilisation when deployed
- A robust framework intended to accommodate the cabin’s protective panels and onboard equipment.
